FACE welcomes HE practitioners (non-academic staff within higher education institutions), HE researchers, third sector professionals including the voluntary and community sector. We would like to also encourage wider membership from student unions. If you think you would be a good fit but do not come from one of these backgrounds, please do get in touch to discuss whether membership could work.

People join FACE because they are passionate about making a difference – helping remove the barriers for people to experience higher education or continuing lifelong education. We amplify your individual voice, connect you with other champions of this cause and share continuous research and best practices to help you solve day-to-day problems you experience. For the small annual fee, whether as an individual or institution, you empower us to help you to make that difference.

No, you can get involved as much or as little as you want. Our executive make the strategic decisions and run operations, with administration outsourced. They meet four times a year.
We encourage all members to attend our annual conference as there is so much to get out of it, and through your membership you receive a discounted rate. You can choose which special interest groups you wish to be part of to ensure your membership is tailored to your needs. You can put yourself or your institution forward for annual research funding, as well as publishing opportunities and organising your own events under the FACE banner.
If your employees become members (as individuals or on an institutional membership) they will have access to many resources to assist them in their day-to-day work, helping them to be more productive for you. They will be able to share experience and best practices with fellow professionals up and down the country, and even internationally where relevant, overcoming challenges that may be much more difficult to achieve in the silo of a single institution.
